This Privacy Policy explains how InvestAllocator Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with the “Metar Taf” Chrome extension (“Extension”).

The Extension helps users view, decode, and understand METAR and TAF aviation weather reports.
By using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Extension.

  1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little information as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Extension.
1.1 Information Stored Locally in Your Browser
The Extension may store the following information locally in your browser:
  • airport codes you search for or save;
  • favorite airports;
  • recent searches;
  • unit preferences;
  • display preferences;
  • other settings related to how the Extension works.
This information is stored locally using Chrome’s extension storage or similar browser storage mechanisms. Local data remains on your device unless you delete it, reset the Extension, clear browser data, or uninstall the Extension.
1.2 Weather Data Requests
When you request METAR, TAF, or other aviation weather information, the Extension may send the airport code or weather station identifier to a third-party aviation weather data provider or to our own server in order to retrieve the requested weather data.
Depending on the technical implementation, the third-party provider or our server may receive technical information that is normally transmitted as part of an internet request, such as your IP address, browser information, operating system, request time, and basic technical logs.
We do not use airport searches to identify you personally.
1.3 Information You Provide Directly to Us
If you choose to contact us, submit feedback, report a bug, request support, join a waitlist, subscribe to product updates, create an account, or use paid features, we may collect information you provide directly to us, such as:
  • your name;
  • email address;
  • feedback or support message content;

Locally stored Extension data remains in your browser until you delete it, reset the Extension, clear browser data, or uninstall the Extension.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete it or anonymize it where reasonably practicable
